Chocolate and Peanut Butter-The Best Match!

Every one loves peanut butter and chocolate! These cookies are great to make for parties, this recipe makes about 32 cookies.


Here's what you need:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
Here's how to make it:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Set parchment paper on a baking tray, and set aside. In a medium sized mixing bowl stir the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
  • With an electric mixer on medium, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and a 1/2 a cup peanut butter until smooth and creamy. Add the egg and beat well.
  • With mixer on low slowly add in the flour mixture alternating with the milk. Stir until combined
  • Roll the dough into balls about 1 1/2 inches. Place them onto the baking sheet, and slightly flatten them.
  • With an electric mixer, beat the remaining 3/4 cup peanut butter and powdered sugar together until firm. Roll into balls of about 3/4 inches.
  • Put each ball into the middle of the chocolate cookie, and wrap the chocolate dough around the peanut butter, making sure not to crush the peanut butter in the middle.
  • Bake for 8-15 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean when inserted into the middle of the cookie.
